Fife Sports and Leisure Trust

Samantha has been busy this week working with the fantastic team at Pitreavie Athletics Centre and Fife Sports and Leisure Trust who have been helping Samantha to develop a personal strength and conditioning programme for the months ahead.

Samantha is currently working as a professional Event Co-ordinator at The Superyacht Group and a member of the UK Keelboat Academy programme. Previous work experience includes three summer seasons with Neilson Holidays in Greece and Turkey and a winter as resort manager with Esprit in Italy. A sailing, windsurfing, water ski and paddle sport instructor she is also an RYA Race Coach Level 2 for dinghy sailing. She holds instructor endorsements for keel boats and multi-hulls as well as the PADI Open Water diving qualification, powerboat and safety boat certificates plus VHF and First Aid. Previously a well known campaigner in a Laser Radial , dinghy the current Olympic class for singlehanded Women Samantha now enjoys sharing her love of watersports with anyone who wishes to learn.

Joanne is currently studying Events Management at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen and is enjoying an introduction to University team racing. Until 2015 she sailed the International 420 sailing dinghy in a partnership with fellow Scottish Development team sailor Joanna Barrie. Previously one of the youngest national squad sailors in the Laser Radial which is the Women's Olympic singlehanded dinghy Joanne was also a successful Junior competitor in the International Topper which is an RYA Junior Pathway Class.

Joanne was a member of the RYA Scotland 420 Development Team coached by David Kohler. She has also been a member of the RYA Scotland Laser Radial Squad and a past member of the Great Britain Intermediate National Junior Squad and the RYA Scotland Topper Squad.
